With the first bit of warm weather coming to Seattle and tropical vacations cluttering my newsfeed, I’m so ready to get away (or have Seattle warm up!) But with our honeymoon coming up, I’m going to have to deal with whatever weather the Pacific Northwest throws at me.

So for all of you lucky gals who are making a B-line to the beach, I’ve rounded up my vacay bag essentials for all of you.

1. A carry-all tote

An equally roomy and chic tote is the foundation of your beach-ready stash. I prefer a bag that can go from a meeting in the city to a tropical vacation in a snap. A quality leather style will always be a good investment that will serve you for everyday style as well as your travels for years to come.

2. A c-u-t-e bikini

Bikinis are the basis of your poolside outfit. I mainly look for a flattering cut, quality material and a pretty print. The silhouette and shape of your bikini is the biggest factor in how confident you feel. A swimsuit that compliments your body is like night-and-day in comparison to one that pinches in all the wrong places. I’m obsessed with scuba material ones at the moment.

3. Stylish shades and/or sunhat

Because a clunky statement necklace or a wrist full of bracelets isn’t exactly practical when you’re at a pool, sunglasses and a sunhat are the ways to infuse your personality at the beach. You can’t go wrong with a Panama hat and sunnies with metal details.

4. Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant

Ever since I read that Karlie Kloss would stack up on these while abroad, I knew I had to try them once they introduced them to the States. I have always used a deodorant stick, so this spray was such a welcome change. I’m obsessed with how easy it is to apply (instant application) and how incredibly fresh it feels! The beauty finish variety is my favorite and has a light and feminine smell. It is all the moisturizing benefits of dove coupled with 48 hour protection, but with smoother underarms. Trust me, you need to try this (and you don’t want to be the last on the bandwagon).

Go to Dove.com to see all the varieties and to learn more.

What are your beach bag must-haves? Do you have any travel plans coming up? I’d love to hear (and live vicariously!)

As always, thank you for reading.

I love the suit and your tote!

I would also add some good sunscreen and a book!
