Weekend Wear

IMG_8638

Happy weekend everyone!

I hope you all are having just as great of a time as I have been having. As many of you know, I surprised my boyfriend by flying across Europe to see him, plotting it all with the help of his friends so he had no idea. We spent the weekend walking through the lush greenery drinking tea and pub crawling, seeing the best of Exeter, England. I could not have had a more perfect couple days. I even got some new ink…ink

It is a 1/5, placed on the underside of my left hand’s ring finger, symbolizing a line from my favorite poem “I am so glad and very” by E.E. Cummings. The line, “a lucky fifth of you,” means that fractions of the self are something less than whole ness are still immeasurable and powerful beyond measure. In other words, we cannot be fragmented.

  1. I’m not into tattoos, but I love this one! So simple and a really cute backstory. I had a different e.e. cummings poem read at my wedding 🙂 On another note, love that hat!!

    • Well thank you, I try to keep all of my tattoos very simple and feminine. Which poem did you have read?

I love how you mixed cognac with black and white. I used to think that black and cognac don’t go together, but I tried it one day, and it surprisingly went well together.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard of it, but I’d like to recommend one of my new favorite stores: Mint L.A. Boutique. If you’re ever over in Ankeny or West Glen Town Center in West Des Moines, you should check it out. They have a lot of great, trendy items.
