It seems like just yesterday I was writing this post announcing our engagement and as of February 11th, we are exactly 6 months away! We couldn’t be more excited. It was just announced that I am one of the blogger brides for Aisle Perfect! I dished all about our love story and how we met.
But with the excitement of a wedding comes a lot of planning. And it can get really crazy planning nuptials from 3,000 miles away. I have bridesmaids in Shanghai, San Fransisco, Minneapolis and Iowa so coordinating dresses can be a bit crazy, especially with four unique body types and varying heights. But with BrideSide.com, I get concierge level services for all of my bridesmaids in the best styles. I told Devin, my personal stylist, that we are planning a very formal garden Gatsby wedding and I wanted something sparkly and fabulous for my leading ladies. She sent me three different options to see in person, try on and choose from. I thought I wanted rose gold, to coordinate with my wedding rings, but I loved the champagne color in person. I decided on a Sorella Vita style with a low back. Swoon!
Thanks to BrideSide, my bridesmaids get the VIP experience and a at-home try on prior to our big day. So they know they are going to love their dress and it will fit. It also fits the schedules and is super convenient way to approach bridesmaid dresses.
Next is my wedding stack. Zach did an amazing job on my Daisy-inspired Diamonds by Lauren engagement ring. More details on the ring here. But since the ring is so unique, it was so hard to find a band to match. Speaking of, I didn’t want a matchy-matchy bridal stack. My center stone is an asscher cut, so Zach and I opted for a glamorous asscher eternity band. I know I wanted options and a stack of three that I could wear all at once, either or, or solo. For Christmas, Zach surprised me with my morganite and rose gold eternity band. The stones in the halo of my engagement ring are pink diamonds, but you can hardly tell a difference. I love how the rose gold and pink colored stones tie the stack together. I also got our custom wedding guest book in the mail yesterday. For some reason, it was this book, that made our wedding feel so real. This was so special to me, Scripted Ever After made us a Gatsby style guest book that actually had our shadows adorning the front (that she modeled after our engagement pictures). How sweet is that?!
Besides that, I’ve been busy trying to get in wedding-perfect shape. I officially have my ceremony dress (eek!) and I keep planning out every little detail with Josey from Sixspence Events. We chose our flowers and can not wait to see them day of thanks to the sweetest Oksana, from Margarita’s Flowers. If you are getting married in Minnesota, you need these ladies as a part of your big day. They are laid-back, sweet, on top of their game and the best at what they do.
What questions do you have? What details do you want to know? I’ll answer all of them in the next wedding update.
As always, thank you for reading.
