Zach and I still can’t believe that it’s been nearly four months since our wedding day. In many ways, it seems like it was just yesterday but it feels like such a blur all at the same time. I’m sure any newlyweds can attest to the fact that it is the most amazing and hectic time that there is so much hype – and then it is over just like that.
But what you are left with is the love of a lifetime, a husband, beautiful photos, even more beautiful memories and a few items from that day that will last the test of time. For me, it is our wedding invites and now our vows that we had created so we can be reminded every day of the promises we said on August 11th, 2016.
Back nearly two years ago when we started planning our wedding, I remember looking for glamorous – but not cliche – invites and save the dates and after browsing through many sources and what seemed like never ending options I couldn’t find that, until I found Minted.
Minted’s fresh approach to prints of any sort was uplifting after seeing so many uninspiring sources. Minted sources their designs from many artists and you are sure to find one that you will vibe with. I know I did. I was able to change absolutely everything, from the envelope color and pattern of inserts, the font, the colors and images. Minted does a lot with metallic foils and it really brings the words and designs to life. I even created custom stamps to further elevate our invites and make sure every single detail reflected the big date.
It was so great to go through all of our engagement pictures – which were new and exciting to us at the time – and finding the perfect one to represent us. See below for our wedding photo that shows our Minted save the dates and formal invites.

It was actually our save the dates that secured our airy and neutral color palette (or lack there of) for our entire wedding. I thought the crisp white with black lettering and gold accents encompassed everything I wanted our wedding to be. So our stationary inspired much more than just a letter to our guests.
Obviously, these vows are so much more than just words. Spoken, they represent our future. But framed, they actually represent our future home. Yes, you read that right. In our first month of travels, we think we actually found a state, a town and a home that we want to be ours. We aren’t done traveling and exploring yet in the Glam-V, so these frames that we can’t yet hang are another promise that we will make that home ours (or rather have it built) and hopefully by the end of 2017.
We have a very yin and yang dynamic to our relationship, so it is only natural that our vows framed would reflect that. My vows are framed in gold and written in silver and Zach’s are done in the exact opposite.
All of that being said, I can not wait for the rest of this year and the rest of our lives and for our Minted framed vows that will hang in our home.
As always, thank you for reading and a big thank you to Minted for sponsoring this post.
