Transitional Weekend Style
This post is sponsored by Zappos.
After what seems like an everlasting summer, I got the first hint of Fall the other day. I am beyond ready for light, transitional layers and going back to some of my go-to pieces like wool hats and boyfriend jeans.
BLACK SWEATER + BOYFRIEND JEANS + BLACK FLATS + BLACK BELT + COGNAC BAG + GOLD NECKLACE + GOLD WATCH
This look is perfect for a coffee run on the weekends, a casual work from home day or a casual dinner date.
I always like to pair black with a lighter or mid-rinse denim and lighter neutrals like white and cream with dark rinses. It always feels like such a classy take on denim.
Boyfriend jeans have been a favorite of mine for years now. Not only are they extremely comfortable, but like boyfriend blazers, the slightly different fit makes them feel a lot more stylized. A belt and cute flats is all you need to have great weekend or travel style.
If you are wanting to create the look of a boyfriend jean, simply try going up a size or two in skinny jeans. But for boyfriend jeans themselves, it really depends on the look you want. In my experience, you want a baggier look in the calfs as well as an ease throughout the hips.
What I love is that Zappos has really great reviews on their website, so I always know if things run true to size, small or a bit large. Plus, everything from Zappos comes so fast (because who likes to wait?!).
