The Hunter Hat
Hi everyone, hope everyone’s week is going well.
Today is consisting of daydreaming, packing and a whole lot of planning in preparation for my trip to Paris this weekend. I could not be happier to be reunited with my hands-down favorite city in what I have seen of the world. No matter how hard I try, I can not seem to get my mind of macaroons at Laduree, walking hand and in with my love down the Champs-Élysées and maybe sneaking a kiss or to in at the top of the Eiffel Tower. But can you really blame me?
But back to my reality, let’s talk maxi’s. I have been a fan for many years now of this functional meets fashionable trend. But why only limit this to being a summer style? Maxi’s can make (fashion) magic happen by being a great base for a fall outfit as well. First, stick to the basics. Start off with a simple jersey style in a neutral or jewel-toned hue (let’s not rock neon pink, it will clash with the autumn leaves). Next, add a jacket of your choice, leather and tweed add warmth and polish to the look. Then, add a fall accessory, such as a great hat (like the hunter green hat I’m sporting) or a printed scarf. Finally, polish the look of with your favorite ankle bootie. That’s your recipe of the day for max(i) style, even as the temperature drops.
