A punchy coral is one of the few colors that I still adore, even in the depths of my neutral obsession. It’s feminine, yet bold and so complementary on almost everyone. And today, I’m styling it to be cubicle cute.
Even though I don’t necessarily go into an office anymore, I still find myself in professional settings quite a bit. So it is important for me to find middle ground between fashionable and work appropriate.
For me, office style starts with one statement piece. It could be a patterned pair of chinos, an amazing gold necklace, a great pair of snakeskin pumps or a modest but beautiful skirt. This Mika Rose skirt is exactly that – and under $50!
The coral color (even though it also comes in a kelly green as well) is so pretty. The asymmetrical pleats and the gold buttons had me at hello. The silhouette is exactly what I look for in virtually all of my work skirts: starts right above my natural waist and ends right above the knee. Did I mention how flattering it is?
From there, I let the skirt stand out and paired a simple white blouse (that happens to have gold detailing), a nude bag and gold pumps for a bit of daytime glam.
We are down in Portland for the week and are talking some very exciting changes (which I hint to, here). Thanks, SIXT for getting us here.
