Stripey + WIWW
Finding the balance between appropriate, fashion-forward and truely you in an work setting can be difficult. With my job at Nordstrom, I’ve even found that to be even more so. There is a clear “Nordstrom” type of style that I’ve picked up on that is different than my personal aesthetic. Also, my current role is a bit casual, yet I want to be professional and super polished. But after a month, I’ve seemed to hit my stride. I’ve defined my young professional uniform as a modest, yet fashionable dress, great heels and a leather jacket. I choose a leather jacket rather than a blazer because it adds that much needed edge, plus a third “polish” piece. Mika Rose has the best modest (and 9-to-5 approved) dresses to serve as a base.
