Off The Grid (1 Dress, 3 Ways)

IMG_3648

Hello everyone, Happy Friday!

Today, I’m continuing to sport this windowpane print dress in the final third way. Yes, you can just sport the dress solo, but playing around with layers in original and innovative manners is one of my favorite things to do. Since being abroad, I have been forced to partake in this creativity, but now it has just became a natural inclination.

All of my fellow prepster’s surely love the collared blouse under a crew neck look that oozes that classic polished style. So my logic was, “why now translate that with a blouse dress instead?” It adds warmth, texture, and in my opinion: loads of style. The trick to keeping this look flattering just takes one trick: a sleek little addition of a waist belt. To execute, just do a semi front-tuck with your sweater (like how you would tuck into jeans), then take the belt and secure said tuck, while leaving the sides and back to hang freely.

See the other two looks with the pieces below here and here.

  1. Great!

  2. Love the idea of tucking the dress into the belt! I was playing around with layering dresses and sweaters but the silhouette was never right… this totally fixes the problem!
