Life lately has been a whirlwind to say the least. A new puppy, a new city every week, finishing up renovations on the Glam-V 2.0, new employees and a new office for Everly, trying to frantically finish the E-book, blogging and a bunch of other big steps that I can’t wait to update you all on. Finding balance has been nearly impossible, but I think I’m starting to find my stride with it all.
A new puppy is not kind to anyones schedules, but after Sterling, it seems like a breeze. Nova has helped me to remember and actually take action of finding time for me and with our little family. And for the first time in three years, I’m finally understanding that it’s a necessity, not a luxury, to do just that.
After spending our first two months of the year in South Carolina, we finally (and sadly) left that state we’ve came to really love. We are just leaving Savannah this morning to our next Glam-V adventure: driving the entire Florida coastline. We are beyond ready for over a month of beaches, bikini days and sipping girly drinks at sunset. I’m making it a solidified goal, that by the time I’m crossing the Florida state line on the west side, my E-book (which I’m adding nearly 10 chapters of content to) will be done and getting edited. Monetizing my blog is what has made all of my dreams come true and allowed me to quit my day job at the age of 22 and pursue my passions full time while traveling. I know I need to share the steps I took and exactly how to do it for yourself with you.
We are so excited to officially introduce you to our new addition, Nova! If you follow me on Instagram (and watch my stories), you met her over a month ago and are probably very familiar by now. We are so very in love with her. True story (even though I will try and deny it): when we picked her up and I held her for the first time, I asked Zach to take a video for me. He said it wasn’t a good idea and I got so frustrated on why he wouldn’t. The second I held her, I started to ugly cry and say “she’s so perfect”. He just smiled and said, that’s why.
This is the only picture of the three of us and it’s the best we have (thanks stranger on the beach!)
MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. DO YOU STILL HAVE STERLING? (OUR FULLY-DOMESTICATED MARBLE FOX):
Of course we do! He has a forever home with us and we love him to pieces. There are just places that a fox can’t go that a dog can. He is actually the reason we got Nova in the first place, which brings me to the next question.
2. HOW DO THEY GET ALONG?
They are literally like velcro. With us traveling full-time, we felt like Sterling needed some consistency and a partner to travel with. I’ve wanted a puppy for a long time and with us just having upgraded to Glam-V 2.0 – with a lot more space – it all made sense. It was half my Valentine’s Day present and half a “sibling” for Sterling.
3. WHAT BREED IS SHE?
She is a Mini Australian Shepherd. She will be about 25 pounds full grown. They also have “toy” versions (which is under 15 pounds) and the full-size (40-60 pounds), but the mini seemed like the perfect in between. They have a lot of variations in their coloring, but the main three are red merle, blue merles and tri-colored. She is a red merle, which is what gives her the gorgeous and distinctive markings she has.
The reason why we choose a Mini Australian Shepherd is because they are very high energy (so she can actually keep up with lightning-fast Sterling), very lovable and loyal, adorable and to be honest, my best friend grew up with two – a full and a mini – and I absolutely fell in love with the breed.
4. HOW OLD IS SHE?
She was born on December 23rd, so she is about 13 weeks and is 15 pounds.
