Maybe it’s the Minnesotan in me, just I feel at complete and utter piece when I’m at a lake. Things just become clearer, less hectic and more peaceful when I am. So, knowing this about myself, I make a legitimate effort to make it to a body of water as much as possible. This is especially true in times of change. Right now, I’m on the last page of this chapter, anxiously awaiting the next.
This last week has been pretty surreal. I sold my car (which is not needed when you live in Downtown Seattle), I bought my cap and gown (I graduate two weeks from today), resigned and named a new editor-in-chief of Trend Magazine, started to pack up my apartment -or what feels like my life – into little brown boxes. Isn’t it crazy? I remember starting college as a wide-eyed freshman, full of dreams and ambitions. A passion for what I did and the industry fueling me. Now, almost exactly four years later, I’ve fulfilled and exceeded every one of those wildest dreams. It really astonishes me how much my hard work, sleepless nights and endless cups of coffee is starting to pay off.
