Feminine Flair

Happy weekend everyone!

I’m off to Venice, Italy for the weekend. Can’t wait to give you all a glimpse into the magical city on water via a photo diary next week.

Today I’m getting playful with print, sporting a stripe and dot pairing. The sheer blouse and A-line skirt exude femininity, perfect for this (not-so) Italian fall day.

The key to pattern mixing success is proportion. When the prints you mix are equivalent in size, relatively to one another a sense of balance is achieved. Warning: steer clear of an overload color or texture, otherwise fashion chaos may occur. This has been your fashion forecast for the day.

Gap Jean Jacket // Express Blouse // Express Skirt (similar) // Karen Walker Sunnies // Coccinelle Bag // Zara Heels (very similar) // Stella & Dot Valor Studs // ALDO Watch // Segue Bow Bracelet (similar) // Christina Link Bracelet // Express Ring (similar style) // Lips: by Kiko Milano (similar shade) // Nails: Trade Winds by Revlon

As always, thank you for reading.

  1. Fabulous! I recently found your blog and you’ve been my inspiration since! You inspired me to get those Express blouses and work with items already in my closet. I studied abroad in Florence last spring (2012) too so your posts make me nostalgic. Keep up the good work 🙂

    • I’m so glad! Thank you so much for following and ill try to keep inspiring 🙂
