Endless Summer

There is nothing that says “carefree summer” to me more than an a boldly hued and unapologetically printed romper. The vibrant tribal pattern paired with a feminine blazer is the perfect polished-yet-casual ensemble when paired with simple sandals. Beach waves and a boho-stacked arm is the perfect way to finis off this look. It’s great for picnics, playing tourist or a catching brunch with the girls.

But beyond the outfit, I’d just like to point out the amazing talent of Lance Wagner. I serendipitously encountered and the rest was, well, pictures. In case you are all wondering why they are all of a sudden so beautiful, I’d like to announce my (exciting) new collaboration with Lance and Trixie – an amazing photo-snapping duo from Seattle.

Love this romper paired with the hot pink blazer. Gorgeous girl!

  3. Oh so stunning! I love these colors – looks great on you! And random question…do you use a self-tanner? If so, I would love to know what kind. You have a great tan in these photos!

    • Thank you Rebecca, and that’s not a random question – I get it all the time! I actually just tan very easily due to me being part Brazillian.

  4. I’ve been eyeing this romper and after seeing it on you…I must have it. Looks great on you!!

This outfit is gorgeous and everything matches perfectly. You look nice in pink, and it seems you don’t wear it often! I’m not sure if you’ve talked about this before, but I’m wondering what exactly, if you know yet, you hope to do in the fashion industry once you graduate? I studied public relations and have been thinking I would be interested in fashion PR. Maybe I’ve been watching too many reruns of The HIlls, but I would love to be involved in some aspect of fashion events or even a fashion magazine. I’m curious what your thought process was in deciding which internships to do to help prepare you for a job (and if you know of any great websites to find some options); I would have never thought to intern for Nordstrom! And I’d love to hear what you think so far about moving to a different state for an internship. I haven’t tried searching too far out of the city I’m in, mainly because I didn’t think the companies would take me seriously that I would move there, and where would I live for just a few months. I’m not trying to be nosy, I’m just really interested because you seem like you’re taking all the right steps to having a great career. Please feel free to email me if you’d like or don’t want to get too detailed in a comment. Thank you so much, and I hope you didn’t mind me asking!

I just realized my email may not show up for you when it asks me to put one haha. It’s ltreace@indiana.edu. I really appreciate it if you have time 🙂 I understand you’re busy though!

    • Hi Laura,

Wow what a question. Upon graduation, I hope to return and be a buyer for Nordstrom while also running my styling company and blog.

As of moving, that’s what you need to be willing to do to work in this industry. I love the challenge and excitement of being plopped somewhere new, bit that’s just me.

As for fashion PR, reach out and find a mentor and apply for 100 internships, because more often than not, that’s what it takes to land 1. You have to have tenacious determination to work in this industry.

Thank you for the info! Sorry I know it was a loaded question but I haven’t gotten to talk to any college students yet about it. And yes I would be willing to move of course, I was mainly concerned that the businesses wouldn’t consider someone living across the country. But thank you for your input and I’ll be looking into it 🙂

Fabulous – you’re simply glowing in those colors!

    • Aw thank you so much Karianne. I don’t wear color often, but when I do, I go bold!
