Easy, Glowing Holiday Makeup Look (With NYX from Gordmans)

It has been a while since I’ve done a makeup tutorial that wasn’t just on my Instagram story, so I am sharing my new go-to makeup look for the holidays. I am normally a bold lip and cat eye girl, but lately, I’ve been craving something easier. Glowing, a step up from natural and pretty. Did I mention I’m using super affordable NYX products (including a lip gloss I’ve been using for 10 years), all from Gordmans.

Gordmans now carries makeup and skincare from NYX – one of the best brands for professional-quality cosmetics at affordable prices that I’ve been using for (no joke) a decade. Today I’m using four great, universally flattering NYX products to use to create a updated holiday makeup look. These products are fantastic because they are so versatile – the lipgloss can be worn alone (for a more natural look) or layered to create a pretty hot pink lip, and the highlighting palette can be used for the face, as eyeshadows, or patted on top of lipstick for a gorgeous, pearlescent look.

So, let’s get started.

Step one: start off with your go-to foundation, concealer and fill in your eyebrows.

Step two: use the NYX Wonder Stick and use the contour end to draw a “3” shape on the top of your forehead, under your cheekbone and jawline. You can slim your nose if you would like. Then, use the highlighting end on your chin, bow of your lip, tip of your nose, under eyes and forehead. Blend well using a beauty blender or fingertips. Then, use your favorite bronzer to further blend in the look using the same “3” spot.

Step three: Use the NYX Strobe Genius Palette to apply blush to the apples of your cheeks and highlight above the cheek bone, on the tip of your nose, bow of your lips, under your eyebrows and in the inner corner of your eyes.

Step four: Use the same palette to apply eyeshadow. I used the pigment below (lower left) to the entire eyelid and the middle bottom pigment in the corner of the eyes. I used a different darker color right at the outside corners to amp up the look more.

Step five: Apply eyeliner (I always prefer liquid) and apply mascara. I love this NYX Double Stacked mascara. It is a more natural falsies look thanks to the two-step system with nylon lash fibers.

Step 6: Use (my 10 year favorite bargain) NYX Butter Gloss. I am wearing the color “Tiramisu” (but I also love Creme Brulee for a more nude-pink color).

And that’s it! It takes me about 10 minutes for a glam and natural holiday look.

As always, thank you for reading and a big thank you to Gordmans for sponsoring this post.
