One of the biggest bonuses of cooler weather is being able to break out my chunky knits. They are equal parts cozy and chic, effortless to throw on but sophisticated enough to make an ensemble. Over the years, I’ve been adding fabulous thick knits to my capsule closet and so many of you have asked where I get them from. Truth be told, 90% of my sweaters are from H&M. They typically range from $17-$50 (when they aren’t on sale). The sweater I’m wearing here is one of my absolute faves — I have it in camel too (only $34.99).
One of my go-to styling tricks (especially with a capsule closet) is wearing V-neck sweaters backwards. Some outfits just look better with a crew neck! I have done it with T-shirts as well (especially when traveling), and it unlocks a whole new level of styling possibilities. It may seem weird at first, but there are so many shirts that have stylized “V” backs now that no would ever know your little secret.
I also love to pair a thicker knit on top with skinny jeans below, which balances out your frame and creates a casual yet composed look, perfect for running errands or a low-key day working from home. Add loafers for polished look that won’t slow you down on the go.
