Being from Minnesota, going to college and Iowa and living in Seattle after has meant cold and damp winters. So I am fully embracing what I would consider shoulder season weather here in South Carolina. I’m all about light layers that are comfortable (because I’ve been putting long hours into Everly) that comes off as super stylish and put together. Today’s outfit is exactly that. A play on textures with a base of olive green and grey that feels fresh (and is totally office ready for any of you 9-to-5 ladies)….
Even though we are currently in South Carolina – that cold front that rocked the US hit us hard. Being from Minnesota, my go-to way to look chic when you are freezing your butt off is so pair great fitting skinny jeans, over the knee boots (these ones which are my favorite just went on sale) and a statement faux fur jacket. Let’s be honest, it’s like a socially acceptable way of walking around cuddled in your favorite faux fur throw….
Christmas and New Years has come and gone, but the glamour that the holiday brings shouldn’t in my book. For me, holiday dressing isn’t about wearing Christmas trees, red and green – oh no. It’s more about a sense of fancy that carries over into an entire month of super chic style. Why should that stop after gifts have been exchanged and lights have been taken down? Well, I think it shouldn’t.
This is the exact outfit I wore to my family Christmas….
What I have been wanting most on these cold winter days is a cozy look that doesn’t loose personality in lieu of practicality. This $19 oversized grey boyfriend cardigan is exactly that. Paired with a plaid blouse and bold booties, it was a great day off look. Sizing note on the one-size cardigan: it fits like a small.
My burgundy booties are 50% off and an extra 25% off with code ‘TREATYOURSELF’ through today only. Did I mention they also come in black?!…
