Bordeaux Beauties: A Collaboration with Gracefullee Made

For today’s post, I’m teaming up with the colorful cutie (both personality and style-wise) Grace from Gracefullee Made. The North Carolina based, collegiate clothing connoisseur undoubtably has a passion for  diverse and daring color palates. But for today’s post, we are both styling our take on this fall’s hottest hue: Bordeaux.

But Bordeaux isn’t just for worldly wine connoisseurs anymore, fashionista’s all over are embracing the good enough to drink hue. All for a good reason too, it’s a universally flattering color that oozes sophistication and is packed with versatile pairings (see above for the army-wine color combo I’m sporting).

Grace went with what she does best: a more impactful way of showcasing the berry-like color. She opted for a oh-so adorable, big-buttoned frock paired with sleek black accessories and a fab hat.

They say great minds think alike, because I naturally gravitated for an outfit topper (literally) when tackling this color trend too, incorporating it subtly, through pops of color. From head to styled toe, I added special splashes of the hue through the hat that sits on my head, a berry pout, a coordinating mani and preppy patent loafers.

Love the polka dots! How did you get the dress to stay as a top?

    • Thank you so much, It actually is made of a pretty sturdy, coated material. So I just folded it under.
