Anatomy of a Perfect Ring Stack

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Catalina Band, The Etta Band, The Zoe Band and The Honor Band – right now only $150 for 4 – normally $99 each >>

I get asked this all the time by my blogger friends, family and Everly customers alike – how do you create the perfect ring stack?! Today, in honor of the huge Everly Hello Spring Sale – I’m breaking it down for you all.

For those of you who don’t know, I started Everly when I was looking for a simulated diamond wedding band that was affordable and quality with great style (and available in a size 4) – I had zero luck. I’ve always had a passion for Gemology with my love affair specifically with diamond-alternative stones. I started sourcing, designing and did a whole lot of learning and created Everly.

We have now grown to be a team of three and have a full on office back in the Midwest. I absolutely love these rings and how they make women feel. Did I mention none of them are over $99?! We offer sizes 2-12 and shipping is always free (in the U.S.) and ship all over the world now. Each purchase comes with a complimentary luxury ring box and comes in gift-ready packaging.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Leighton Dome Band (rose/champagne), The Reese Band (rose gold), The Mercer Band (rose/champagne), The Mercer Band (rose/coffee) and The St. Lucia Band – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

So they say good things come in threes…

When it comes to the art of stackable bands, I would argue the ideal rings to stack would be 3-6 depending on the look and width of the bands. More often than not, I find myself stacking 5. In the very first picture, I was wearing a stack of 4, that’s because the bands were a bit thicker and had a higher carat weight to them.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Monte Carlo Band (white gold), The Noir Band, The Luna Band (yellow gold), The Oia Band (black gold), The Athena Band (white gold) and The Monte Carlo Band (yellow gold) – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

Don’t be afraid to mix metals.

The days of you must be matchy-matchy are long gone – but it can be stunning as well. They key is repetition. In this stack of six dainty stackables, I used two of each metal so it feels balanced and adds dimension.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Leighton Dome Band (white gold), The Leighton Dome Band (rose gold), The Noir Band, The Luna Band (white gold) and The Mercer Band (rose/champagne) – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

Just like with clothing, black can be dramatic and a bit edgy.

It’s amazing how even just one black gold plated or simulated black diamond can make such a gorgeous statement. It instantly makes me feel more on-trend. When done in a classic, basic eternity band, it is a very classic approach to this seemingly daring stone and metal combo.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Leighton Dome Band (white gold), The Noir Band, The Luna Band (white gold), The Hamptons Band and The Lula Band – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

Keep your stacks all sitting at the same height – it instantly makes it look like stacked perfection.

The number one mistake we see at Everly that makes our customers not love there stack is when they order one bulky band that just doesn’t sit right with the others. We always make sure to email them a picture of their stack when we see this just to make sure it was purposeful! We try to design most of our bands to stack flawlessly with each other and made to be mixed and matched with ease.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Mercer Band (rose/champagne), The St. Lucia Band, The Leighton Dome Band (rose/champagne),The Leighton Dome Band (rose gold) andThe Leighton Dome Band (rose/champagne) – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

Both rose gold and pave are always a good idea.

Because. So. Much. Yes – Enough said.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom):The Leighton Dome Band (rose/coffee), The Sabine Band (white gold), The Mercer Band (rose/coffee), The St. Lucia Band, The Monte Carlo Band (white gold) and The Mercer Band (rose/coffee) – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

Let your stacks be indulgent. Champagne and chocolate stones are welcome to make a sophisticated statement.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Noir Band, The Verona Band (white gold), The Oia Band (black gold), The January Band and The Zahara Band – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

Personalize your stack with your birthstone (or your husbands, kids, family, wedding month, etc.)

I love being able to wear my husbands birthstone and mine next to each other in a stack. It feels so personal and sweet. It also adds the perfect pop of color to a stack or even your wedding set. See our entire Birthstone Bands Collection here.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Havana Band, The Leni Band, The Zella Band (yellow gold) and The Catalina Band (yellow gold) – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

Just like accessorizing an outfit, have a statement piece.

In my own opinion, I find that it works best to place the bigger, more statement-making band on wither the very bottom or one from the bottom. If just feels balanced being closer to your hand.

<< Wearing (from top to bottom): The Athena Band (white gold), The Lula Band, The Beverly Hills Band (white gold) and The Bria Band (white gold) – right now only $250 for 7 – normally $99 each >>

When in doubt, go for the same metal (monochrome isn’t just a trend with clothes).

I live in monochromatic neutrals, so it is no surprise that I find myself drawn to an all white gold stack when I’m feeling classic, a black gold/black diamonds stack when I’m feeling edgy, a rose gold stack when I’m feeling flirty or a yellow gold stack on a warm, summery day.

What’s your favorite way to stack? Any tips of your own? I would love to hear.
