As I am weeks away from being done with the Glam-V, the realization that my closet is now a fraction of what it used to be is hitting me hard. To be honest, I really thought I would be panicked and really freaked out by the lack of space. But what I am feeling and experiencing is the exact opposite. I’m excited, refreshed and looking forward to pairing down my wardrobe into super versatile and stylish essentials and get back to my roots of being a true layering guru.
While I don’t have my pieces officially picked out yet, I did want to share a little bit with all of you of where my head is at. These are the pieces I tend to wear time and time again and living out of a suitcase since the wedding has made me realize that more than ever.
All of the pieces above I either have just bought, have something similar (from another season) or am plotting to buy ASAP. I recently bought these $16 blush faux leather shorts (kind of obsessed), this $80 cognac faux suede jacket (I’ve been on the hunt for an affordable one for months, this one sold out and just came back in stock), these black Ted Baker booties and this structured black bag (both great investments!) and this C&C California T-shirt dress (super flattering).
And let me highlight some steals for you all! My go-to gold watch that is normally $250, just went on SALE at Nordstrom Rack for $87!!! The mixed metal Michael Kors one is only $120 (I have this in my cart because I need it in my life). The black faux leather jacket I wear all the time is only $40! Anything from Express is SO affordable because the denim is 40% off and everything else is $25 off every $75 you spend until tomorrow. This includes the grey jeans, black ripped jeans and army green jacket. The chambray shirt is only $24 and the camel cardigan is $34. You all love my J.Brand flare jeans from last season, but I just found an identical style that is price-matched right now for only $117 (my J.Brands were $224). On another denim related note, these boyfriend jeans are only $85 (I’d recommend sizing up because the brand runs small). My camel-colored wrap blouse is on super sale for only $89 (I literally wear it all the time!) I’ve also been on the hunt for a striped long sleeve like the one I wore for about a year and finally found this $29 look-a-like.
Now, onto some outfit ideas. I could seriously make 100 outfits easy with these pieces, but here is 18 outfit ideas using the pieces above.
As always, thank you for reading.
